Thats when I went to a different Vet, who put him on medication since last Two weeks. He has got two shots of Ivermectin Injection and I am asked to apply Sulphacure at day time and LicoHeal Lotion at night. With the patch growing, thought of taking advice from another well known Vet who recommended RIDD (to be applied once every 5 days, 2-3ML mixed with 500ML of water) along with Ivermectin injections. mine has demodex as well and he took 1 prescription of simplicef and was on ProMeris for about 4 months. I applied it every 2 weeks (twice the recommendation) which is what my vet had told me to do. It was about 200 to 300 bucks and 4 months later he was cured. Demodex is fairly common but its nothing to worry too much about. It shows up when the dog gets stressed out. Feels better after reading these comments... One of the Vets i mentioned earlier had shown me pictures of severe mange infection, when asked about his ears, I was informed that his ears would never stand again for life. There is a very little chance of that happening... Apparently, he suceeded in Upselling a lot of stuff to me varying from Dog food to Vitamin Supplements...
