Quinn Chapel to celebrate 'Men's Day' Sunday with guest speakers
The men of Quinn of Quinn Chapel Church, 181 W. Main St., will celebrating "Men's Day" Sunday, with the theme "Men Living For God."
Randray Beverly, of First Baptist Church, will speak during the 10:30 a.m. service. He is a recent graduate of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Va., with a Master of Arts degree in religion/leadership. Beverly is a graduate of Chillicothe High School and graduated from Morehead State University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication and a minor in social work. In fall 2008, he attended the Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary online, through which he also obtained a Master of Arts degree in religion/leadership. Beverly is preparing for a 10-week chaplaincy internship at Adena Regional Medical Center, where he hopes to spread the love of Jesus Christ to people in need.
The church's 4 p.m. service will include a performance from the First Baptist Church men's choir. The speaker is Garin Veris, a Chillicothe High School graduate; and a stand-out football player at Stanford University and the NFL. He is a 1981 graduate of Chillicothe High School and graduated in 1990 from Stanford University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in political science. Veris then earned a juris doctor degree in 1998 from the Boston College Law School. He was a member of the New England Patriots from 1985 to 1992 and the San Francisco 49ers from 1992 to 1993.
